On Saturday, volunteers and refugees prepared Syrian, Palestinian an Irakian specialties.
A successful integration can only happen when residents and refugees encounter each other in everyday situations. We are convinced that joint cooking and eating is a perfect opportunity to do just that. That's why we brought together volunteers and refugees on 30th April so that they can prepare Iraki, Syrian and Palestinian specialties.
We sold these foods on 1st May in ASTI's cultural kitchen at the OGBL festivities in the Abbey Neumünster. Here too, refugees were able to meet volunteers and visitors. We received very positive feedback from both sides - refugees and residents, which is why we will organise further such events in the near future.
